Fantastic. Thanks for letting me know you found my geoswag magnet. At the Ennotville library geocache. I was happy to find a cache big enough for the magnet and in such a nice location.

Hi I was caching in London Ontario and I found a cool magnet that said handcrafted by R. It is signed Lone R. The round magnet says “The Explorer Geocaching” and has a pair of hiking boots in the middle. Cool lil magnet, I tried to scan the QR code but it was scratched. My geopartner Hauswinkler makes similar magnets, so I will likely pass this one along in another cache I find, then someone else can find and enjoy it hopefully! Thanks for the swag, do you have any caches or travel bugs out there to find? I would love some more of your swag!

My geocaching name is Jiblethead. Add me or msg me there if you want to connect! ❤

That’s an older piece of swag that’s still making the rounds. I made that about 3 years ago. I’m glad you liked it. Thanks for visiting my geoswag blog to let me know. I don’t geocache much anymore but I’m glad people are still enjoying my handcrafted geoswag.

Hello. I was caching in Barrie a while ago and found 3 of the Dr. Who magnets. The villain Ood,the Daleks and the Phone booth. Iam going to Colorado next week and I will be taking them there and will drop them all off in 3 separate caches there. They’re cool swag and I’ve had them long enough.

Thanks so much for letting me know. You can keep the thumb tack if you want to. Or pass it along. Thanks again I like knowing it had an impact.

Just picked up a little geocaching magnet. Great idea. Got it in the Bruce peninsula area.

    • *R* says:

Hi Muskoka Pearl. So nice to see a familiar geocacher name on my blog. I found a few of your caches in cottage country a few summers ago.

I hope my geoswag inspires you. 🙂

      Thanks for visiting my blog.

  9. Bioanth says:

Found the thumb tack after finding the tardis. Will send the tack somewhere distant and interesting. We were not sure what to do with the tardis when we found it so we left it in place.

    • *R* says:

Thanks for posting here Bioanth. The Tardis is geoswag for trading. Some people keep it as a momento and put it on their fridge, some move it on to another cache (like a pseudo Travelbug) and some report it here but leave it in the cache. I appreciate that you took the time to log the Tardis magnet and GC thumb tacks discoveries on my blog. Happy trails. 🙂

  10. Bioanth says:

Found it birthday caching with Wizard_Dot. A great piece of swag. I wish I had brought trade items of sufficient quality. But I didn’t so I won’t move it.

    • *R* says:

Really great to hear my geoswag has a place on your daughters art board. Very very nice. I think I’ll go make some more swag, running low. 😄

    R,
Love love love the handcrafted fridge magnet. My wife says she’s not a geocacher but when we find awesome items like this she tells everyone about it with great enthusiasm; a true geocacher in all but registered name! We will keep this one for a while but eventually we will pass it along for someone else to enjoy.
If you’re ever in the area please check out Sentry Scroll GC3PXJ9 and Spirits of the Woods: Amaran GCG3KC, caches that I carved.
The fridge magnet makes me smile. Thanks for making geocaching even awesome-r!

    • *R* says:

Thank you so much. It’s posts like yours that keep me motivated. I’m so glad you both like the fridge magnet that much. I found your sentry scroll cache (last year I think). I marvelled at the craftsmanship. I will have to get the Glen Morrison soon and go for amaran. I love handcrafted quality caches. Thanks for making my day with your generous write-up. 😀

  19. bobki says:

Do you want me to keep this or move along ?
I picked it up at GC5YKG3.

    • *R* says:

If you like it, I’d be honoured if you kept it. Otherwise, feel free to drop it in another cache. It’s meant to be swag for people who like handcrafted signature-style swag. 🙂 Thanks for logging it.

  20. Hi Lone R. I am a fan of your blog and your geoswag. Today I finally got to find one of your pieces for myself. I was caching in Burlington along the hydro one pathway corridor and found a painted penny in the cache. I took the penny and left my personal geoswag inside. I make little chewbacca men out of felt. Great work on the geoswag. I really appreicate all the details you put into it. Like labeling each little baggie with your blog and even a QR code. I am will post this happy find on my pintrest geocaching page for others to see.

    • *R* says:

Thank you so much. What a nice comment. It’s much appreciated and very motivating. I think I’ll go create some more geoswag this evening. 🙂 I haven’t made painted pennies in a few months. I sure hope I find one of your felt chewbaccas.

    Getting Around!!
    Hi Lone R
I had just returned from my hometown near Hayden Ontario where I picked up “Fun with Dick and Jane” **see above**
when I decided to do some close to home caches. Imagine my surprize when on my way to the kissing bridge trail in Wallenstein I stopped by the Bone Yard Series: Souls of Hawkesville Series and found your card. It made me chuckle to see 2 caches 190km away and the same persons swag!! You have now inspired me and my son (2yrs) and I have began to craft some of our own swag for the Geo Tour In Wilberforce Ontario my plan is to leave a piece of homemade swag in each of the 100 caches this summer!! So thank you for the inspiration and I will now be keeping an eye out for Lone R creations!!

    Happy Caching!!

P.S I snapped a picture and left the card in Hawkesville for someone else to find!!

Just found a bit of geo swag (Dr. Who magnet) at the historic Hayden Hall. Thank you for the work you have put in to these. I think I’ll try and make some swag of my own. Happy caching!!

    • *R* says:

Ah yes, Fun With Dick and Jane. That was a nice old schoolhouse turned community hall. I had a quiet visit – no one at the hall, no kids in the playground. The container was cute with the page from the old grade one primary reader.

Found lone R Dr who fridge magnet in Ingersoll, thanks for the swag I love it

  24. John Ruths says:

Loved the many pictures of geoswag. I’ve also got a collection of cool swag that I’ve either traded for or just purchased outright. It’s a little collection of mostly junk but, because it’s connected to geocaching, it just means more.
